Common questions
Is Suki really free for sellers?
Yes. Creating a store, posting listings, boosts, the order queue, and analytics are all free. Suki takes no commission and never holds your money. Buyers pay you directly via GCash, Maya, bank transfer, or cash on delivery.
How do I get paid?
You set your own payment options: GCash, Maya, bank transfer, cash on delivery, or anything custom. Buyers pick one at checkout and pay you directly. You can even upload a payment QR code so buyers just scan to pay, and mark orders paid or unpaid so utang never gets forgotten.
Do I need a rider?
No. Your buyers are in your own building or village, so delivery is a walk down the hallway or across the street. You can also offer pickup so buyers come to you, or schedule deliveries up to 7 days ahead.
Do I need permits to sell food from home?
Small home sellers usually start with barangay-level requirements, and grow into DTI, BIR, and a sanitary permit as the business gets serious. Our permits guide explains what applies at each stage, in plain language.
What can I sell?
Home-cooked ulam, baked goods, merienda, frozen food, meal prep packs, party trays, drinks, and other tinda. If your neighbors would buy it, you can post it.
How do boosts work?
Every seller gets 10 free boosts a month. A boost pins your listing to the top of the community feed for 15 minutes - post at merienda time, boost it, and the whole building sees it first. Community managers can also grant extra boosts and feature one store on the community page.
What if my building has no Suki community yet?
Start it yourself. Create the community page, share the link in your group chat, and you become the manager - which also makes you the first seller in a feed with zero competition.
Can carinderias and small stores join?
Yes. Suki has seller types for home cooks, carinderias, and neighborhood stores. Registered businesses can earn the Official Store badge, approved by your community manager.
