Suki Neighbors ("Suki", "we", "us") is a community marketplace that connects neighbors who want to buy and sell home-cooked food and other goods within their building, village, or barangay. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Suki, you agree to this policy.

Who this applies to

This policy applies to everyone who uses Suki, whether you browse, buy, sell, or manage a community. Suki is intended for people 18 and older.

Information we collect

Account details: your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from your Google account. If you sign up with email, we store your email and a password you set.
Contact and delivery details: your phone number, unit or floor, and delivery address, so sellers can coordinate and deliver your order.
Community membership: the communities you join or manage.
Orders: the items you order, amounts, fulfillment choice (delivery, scheduled, or pickup), the payment method you select, and any payment receipt or proof image you choose to upload.
Seller information (if you sell): your store name, photos, description, hours, payment options you choose to display (such as a GCash number or QR), pickup location, and, if you request verification, a photo of a valid ID.
Technical data: push-notification tokens if you enable notifications, and information stored in your browser (such as your cart and sign-in session) using local and session storage.

How we use your information

Create and manage your account.
Connect buyers and sellers and let you place and receive orders.
Share the details needed to complete an order. For example, a seller sees the buyer's name, contact number, and delivery address for that order, and a buyer sees the seller's contact number and payment details.
Send order updates and reminders by push notification, and by email where enabled.
Support community moderation, safety, and fraud prevention.
Operate, maintain, and improve the service.

Payments

Suki does not process, hold, or handle payments. All payments (cash on delivery, GCash, bank transfer, or other methods a seller offers) are made directly between the buyer and the seller. We do not collect or store your card or bank login credentials. Any payment number, QR code, or receipt image shown or uploaded is provided by you or the seller for the purpose of that transaction.

How we share information

With the other party to your order.Buyers and sellers need each other's contact and delivery details to fulfill an order.
With community managers. Managers and their co-admins can see requests to join their community and act on reports for moderation.
With service providers that help us run Suki: Supabase (database, storage, and authentication), Vercel (hosting and content delivery), Google (sign-in, if you use it), and web-push services (to deliver notifications you opt into).
When required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Order records may be kept longer to support records, disputes, and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal information, subject to records we are required to keep.

Your rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your sign-in details private.

Children

Suki is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Suki after an update means you accept the revised policy.
