Terms of Service

Welcome to Suki Neighbors ("Suki"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Suki. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Suki.

What Suki is

Suki is a community marketplace that connects neighbors who want to buy and sell home-cooked food and other goods within their building, village, or barangay. Suki is a platform only. We are not a party to any transaction between a buyer and a seller. We do not cook, prepare, handle, inspect, store, or deliver any food or goods, and we do not process or hold payments.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use Suki.
Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.

If you buy

When you place an order, you enter into an agreement directly with the seller, not with Suki.
You pay the seller using the method they offer (cash on delivery, GCash, bank transfer, or another option). Suki does not collect or hold your payment.
Provide accurate delivery details so your order can reach you.
The quality, safety, and preparation of the food or goods are the seller's responsibility. If you have allergies or dietary needs, ask the seller before ordering.

If you sell

Describe your items accurately, including price, availability, and any minimums.
Honor the orders you accept and fulfill them as described.
You set your own prices, payment methods, delivery or pickup terms, and hours. You are responsible for your food and goods and for following applicable food-safety, health, business, and tax laws.
Verification badges, an "Official Store" label, or community approval do not guarantee quality or safety and do not make Suki responsible for a seller's food or conduct.

Food safety

Suki lists home-prepared and small-scale food. This kind of food carries inherent risks, and Suki does not inspect, test, endorse, or guarantee any item, seller, or kitchen. You buy at your own risk and should use your own judgment. Direct any concern about an item to the seller who made it.

Payments and disputes

All payments are made directly between buyer and seller. Suki holds no funds and is not responsible for payment, refunds, chargebacks, or non-delivery. If a dispute arises, it is between the buyer and the seller. We may provide tools such as order status and cancellation, but we are not a party to and are not liable for the outcome.

Communities and moderation

Communities are run by their managers and co-admins, who may set community rules, review requests to join, and moderate sellers. We may warn, suspend, hide, or remove listings, accounts, or communities that violate these Terms, community rules, or the law, with or without notice.

Acceptable use

Do not sell illegal, unsafe, counterfeit, or prohibited items.
Do not defraud, harass, impersonate, or spam other users.
Do not misuse, scrape, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.
Do not post false, misleading, or infringing content.

Your content

You keep ownership of the listings, photos, and other content you post. You grant Suki a non-exclusive license to host and display that content for the purpose of operating the service. You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it.

Disclaimer

Suki is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any item or seller will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Suki and the people who operate it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from a transaction between a buyer and a seller, the food or goods sold, non-delivery, or non-payment. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount permitted by applicable law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Suki harmless from claims arising out of your use of the service, your content, your transactions, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

Termination

You may stop using Suki at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if we stop offering the service.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Suki after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
